Rest In Paradise Hickstead♥ 1996-2011

As many of you know the world of horses and show jumping have suffered a great loss, the loss of Hickstead; A 16h Dutch Warmblood stallion who has been the best friend and champion of Eric Lamaze. Hickstead suffered from a heart attack that left him lifeless as Eric was riding him out of the ring at a competition in Verona. I have been lucky enough in my life to have the amazing champion of a horse walk right in front of me, and Ive seen him bring Eric to many championships. Sometimes live or on the other side of the TV but Im screaming "GO HICKSTEAD!" at the top of my lungs. We love you Hickstead! ♥ Rest In Paradise Hickstead. You will be loved and missed forever as you are one of the greatest horses of all time. I'm going to miss cheering for you on the other side of the TV, and I'll miss watching you take Eric to victory. You were an amazing horse and will never be forgotten, an inspiration to us all.
