Living Alone in Japan Made Me Realize Something
There was nothing special about today. No big adventure. No travel. No life-changing moment. Just an ordinary day living alone in Japan. I spent the morning taking care of my plants, rode my bike to 7-Eleven for my favorite smoothie and cookie, relaxed in the park surrounded by the sounds of summer cicadas, picked up groceries, and ended the day making homemade gyoza. Life isn't supposed to feel exciting every single day. Some days are stressful. Some days are fun. And some days are beautifully ordinary. After living in Japan for almost 10 years, I'm slowly learning to appreciate those quiet moments in between—the ones we often forget because we're too busy thinking about what's next. If you've been feeling overwhelmed lately, I hope this little slice of my life in Japan gives you a few minutes to slow your thoughts and simply enjoy the present. Thanks for spending another ordinary day with me. 🌿 If you enjoyed this video, I'd really appreciate it if you subscribed and joined me for more videos about living alone in Japan, daily life in Japan, Japanese culture, simple living, personal growth, and finding joy in everyday moments.
