Cameron Mackintosh has announced new dates for Les Misérables The Arena Concert Spectacular, which will return to the UK and Ireland before heading to New York in 2026. The new dates follow a record-breaking world tour which opened in Belfast in 2024 and has sold over a million tickets across 30 cities in 25 countries. The arena production, developed from Les Misérables: The Staged Concert, marks the culmination of the musical’s 40th anniversary celebrations, with the London production continuing at the Sondheim Theatre. Mackintosh said the arena tour had been “a success beyond my wildest dreams,” drawing capacity audiences even in countries where Les Misérables had never previously been staged. He added that the new run would “bring home this iconic event” to Dublin and Birmingham before returning to two landmark venues: the Royal Albert Hall, which last hosted the show for its 10th anniversary concert, and New York’s Radio City Music Hall, where American audiences will see this version for the first time. The production will play Dublin’s 3Arena from 29 May to 6 June, Birmingham’s Utilita Arena from 11 to 14 June, London’s Royal Albert Hall from 18 to 21 June, and finally Radio City Music Hall in New York from 23 July to 2 August. Casting for the 2026 engagements will be announced later this year, with Mackintosh teasing an “incredible array of Les Mis alumni.” He also highlighted the Dublin run’s link to the show’s history, recalling Colm Wilkinson’s return to play Jean Valjean in his home country.
