WCH Pride Panel: Supporting and Affirming Queer and Trans People in Healthcare
In celebration of Pride Month, Women’s College Hospital hosted a panel discussion exploring what more inclusive, responsive and equitable healthcare looks like for queer and trans communities. Bringing together healthcare leaders, researchers, practitioners and people with lived experience, the conversation examined the current healthcare landscape for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, highlighting progress, ongoing challenges and opportunities to improve access, quality of care and patient experiences. The discussion also explored the importance of affirming care, health equity and creating healthcare systems that better support the diverse needs of queer and trans patients.
