[Piano Cover] Katappo - 片っぽ by eill from "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes"

katappo, meaning "one of a pair". i didn't know there was a phrase for this in japanese, and hopeless romantic that i am, it's really cool to learn it from one of my favorite songs of the year. the trio of songs by eill featured in the movie "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes" is probably the best anime movie soundtrack i've listened to in a while, maybe even since your name. i put a lot of effort into making this cover, including working with a new piano vst and editing a music video with it. let me know if the new piano sound is actually better than the old one (i hope so, it took a lot of work to set up...) the movie itself is also decent, though i personally like it a lot just because of its romantic themes. as per usual, i'll be going home for the holidays, so this will probably be my last cover of 2023, though i will definitely be covering eill's other two songs, preromance and finale, next year. i think i can proudly look back on this year and say i achieved my goal of continuously working on and uploading covers. to me, love is about finding your other half. the other person who completes you. katappo and the movie's themes remind me a lot of other stories like darling in the franxx or your name, with focus on a main pairing that transcends time and space. see you next year. jerry
