Ebano Verde, reserva científica, Constanza, República Dominicana

Located in Arroyazo, northeast of Constanza, this scientific reserve spans altitudes from 245 to 1,565 meters and is home to more than 600 species of flora and fauna, including birds, tree frogs, lizards and orchids. It is one of the wettest areas in the country and the source of several rivers. Its name comes from the green ebony (Magnolia pallenscens), an endemic tree of great value.
