In the winter of 2026, we remembered what a real winter is. Frosts below -20°C are rare in Kaliningrad these days. The rivers froze, the bay froze, and the swamps turned into fields. We couldn't miss such an opportunity! A friend and I went on a hike to the most swampy part of the Kaliningrad region. And now I'm thrilled to show you what came of it. The "World of Flora" berry nursery is located in the Kaliningrad region, in the village of Yegoryevskoye, Gurevsky District. Here we collect different berry varieties and test them in Kaliningrad conditions. The best of them are planted in the main nursery beds for propagation.
