世界の自転車聖地「しまなみ海道」今治はB級観光物件、いわゆる「変チク物」の宝庫です。宮殿にモンサンミシェルに十円寿司。造船とタオル以外の今治をヒキタ博士とめぐろう♪

The Shimanami Kaido, a sky corridor that's one of the world's seven great cycling courses (CNN TV), is actually home to some of the most fascinating towns on its southern coast. While Imabari may be famous for its shipbuilding and towels, it's also home to a plethora of original, bizarre creations. From the palace to Mont Saint-Michel and its impressive castle tower, to 10-yen sushi, locals tell us that Imabari is a place where "three people together make one president," meaning the town is brimming with original ideas and a spirit of independence. The roughly 70-km Honshu-Shikoku Bridge is, of course, incredible, but Onomichi and Imabari, located on the north and south coasts, are brimming with hidden charm. Perhaps one thing they both have (or once had) fake castle towers. Enjoy the "Imabari Edition" of our "Shimanami Kaido" Behind the Scenes Guide Series.
