I took pictures (July 16) on the last day of the 76th Mitama Matsuri (July 13-16). Events included Japanese dance, mikoshi (portable shrine) festivals, and Aomori Nebuta festival at Yasukuni Shrine. The Mitama Festival is held at Yasukuni Shrine every July. Approximately 300,000 people visited during the period, starting in 1947, in connection with the custom of "Obon" to worship and hold a memorial service for the spirits of ancestors. It is said to be a summer feature of Tokyo that people visit. highlight ・More than 30,000 large and small lanterns are hung from the approach to the shrine precincts, coloring the night in golden color.
