Racing a flat tyre to catch the ferry to Africa! On my last morning bike touring Europe, I was hit with a last-minute puncture just 3km from the port - my first flat tire in nearly 15,000km. After a frantic sprint to the ferry, fixing the tyre at the docks, and passing through Moroccan customs, I finally crossed the Strait of Gibraltar to begin the next massive leg of this solo bicycle travel journey: cycling Africa! From exploring the vibrant medina of Tangier, visiting historic synagogues, to celebrating my birthday in a traditional Riad, these days were all about resting, decompressing, and getting ready for the road south.
