Eu estava a fim da minha colega de trabalho Laura fazia três meses. Every morning she greeted me with a smile that made me lose my words. Toda manhã ela me cumprimentava com um sorriso que me deixava sem palavras. I wanted to ask her out, but I was afraid of ruining our friendship. Eu queria chamar ela para sair, mas tinha medo de estragar nossa amizade. During lunch I practiced phrases in my head again and again. Durante o almoço eu ensaiava frases na minha cabeça várias vezes. That afternoon I told Marta about my problem. Naquela tarde eu contei meu problema para a Marta. She listened carefully and laughed because I looked too serious. Ela ouviu com atenção e riu porque eu parecia sério demais. Marta said a simple invitation was better than a perfect speech. A Marta disse que um convite simples era melhor do que um discurso perfeito. At home I wrote three different messages on my phone. Em casa eu escrevi três mensagens diferentes no meu celular. Each message sounded strange, so I deleted all of them. Cada mensagem parecia estranha, então eu apaguei todas. Finally I decided to invite her in person the next day.
