Kites, Basic Introduction, Geometry

This geometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into kites. It explains how to calculate the area of a kite using the length of its two diagonals and how to determine the perimeter of a kite using the pythagorean theorem to calculate the missing sides. A kite has two disjoint pairs of congruent sides. One diagonal is the perpendicular bisector of the other diagonal and it bisects the angles of the vertex into two congruent angles. One pair of opposite angles is congruent in a kite. This video explains how to calculate the missing sides and missing angles in a kite. It contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
