On this expedition, we reached an altitude of over 4,000 meters and discovered several abandoned Inca structures: tambos (way stations), rest stops, mortars carved into the ground, grinding tools, and marked stones that were part of the ancient Qhapaq Ñan, the Inca road, in Famatina, La Rioja Province, Argentina. Everything remains unmarked and unprotected, adrift, despite its enormous historical value.
