Dr. Surendra Kumar Upadhyay is a devoted devotee of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He is an ophthalmologist by profession and currently resides in London. He is a trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, United Kingdom, and a member of the Prasanthi Medical Council. He has organized Sri Sathya Sai Medical Camps in many countries around the world. He has worked for many years with such luminaries as Reverend Mother Teresa and Mr. Victor Kanu. He served under Swami's direct guidance at the 1985 World Conference on Medical Camps, which he considers the greatest achievement of his life. Swami's biography, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Part 7, describes Sai-related events from his life. He experienced Swami's divine leelas (divine realms) in medical camps in Russia, Africa, and Latin America.
