Some things God will not renovate. He will not manage them, rename them, or make peace with them. He calls for them to be burned. Israel came out of Egypt with gold in their hands and Egypt still in their hearts. And when the pressure came, the gold did not stay gold — it took a shape, and then it took a seat.
