It all began when residents of the area alerted patrol cars that two individuals in a vehicle were driving around armed near the intersection of Beltrán and Jujuy streets, endangering lives. Using surveillance cameras, the vehicle was identified as it traveled along Pacheco Avenue and Alvear Street. Officers immediately intercepted the vehicle. As a result, firearms and ammunition were seized. The Municipality of Tigre has more than 130 patrol cars that it uses to constantly patrol the streets and waterways of the district. They allow for a rapid response to any alarm or emergency situation detected at the COT (Center for Operations and Technology) and also contribute to preventative patrols. In addition, it has more than 2,000 security cameras distributed throughout the city, which it uses to monitor criminal activity, traffic accidents, and any other actions that disrupt public order.
