Related Legislation Continued Crime Article 71 - When the perpetrator, through more than one action or omission, commits two or more crimes of the same kind and, due to the conditions of time, place, manner of execution and other similar circumstances, the subsequent crimes should be considered a continuation of the first, the penalty applied shall be that of only one of the crimes, if identical, or the most severe, if different, increased, in any case, by one-sixth to two-thirds. Sole Paragraph - In intentional crimes against different victims, committed with violence or serious threat to the person, the judge may, considering the culpability, the antecedents, the social conduct and the personality of the perpetrator, as well as the motives and circumstances, increase the penalty of only one of the crimes, if identical, or the most severe, if different, up to three times, observing the rules of the sole paragraph of Article 71. 70 and art. 75 of this Code.
