Mary, the Loyal Mother Luke 2:15–19; John 2:1–5; John 19:25–27 International Sunday School Lesson July 26, 2026: Mary, the Loyal Mother In this week's lesson, we take a deep look at the life of Mary and her unwavering devotion as the mother of Christ. We journey through her experiences—from the miraculous night in Bethlehem and the visit of the shepherds to the beginning of Jesus' public ministry at the wedding in Cana, and finally, to the foot of the Cross. This lesson is particularly personal for me, as I share it just one day after the passing of my own mother. As we study the scriptures, we see the powerful example of Jesus, who, even while hanging on the Cross to pay the penalty for our sins, took the time to ensure His mother would be cared for.
