Richlands to Springfield Track Construction
From Monday 2 December 2013, Springfield residents have been able to travel directly into Brisbane's CBD by train for the first time as Queensland Rail and TransLink unveil the new Springfield rail extension. The 9.5km dual-track extension includes two new stations, Springfield and Springfield Central, as part of the $475 million Richlands to Springfield rail extension project.
