White Lights Book Review | New Lauren Kate Romantasy Spinoff Series

I read this book within 30 hours (that's quite fast for me lol) and immediately need the next one pls and thank you. White Lights is a new adult romantasy spinoff by Lauren Kate (the author of the Fallen series) and it officially releases TODAY! I got to read an ARC of the book so we could discuss right away (thanks Grand Central Publishing!) and I have THOUGHTS. Our FMC Dez finds herself on the run from the cops (and her too-normal life) after a terrifying incident that leaves her brother in the hospital and Dez with an EYEBALL (unrelated to said brother) IN HER POCKET. When an ultra-handsome stranger shows up and promises a full-ride to prestigious film school (and a potential path out of her legal woes), she takes it despite some pretty obvious red flags. Chaos ensues. Betrayal occurs. A love triangle forms. Spice is sprinkled throughout. (If you like the Mortal Instruments and Crave series, I think you'll like this too.) Let me know your thoughts!
