NALLONG STUDENTS’ UNION CELEBRATES GOLDEN JUBILEE AT NALLONG VILLAGE

The Nallong Students’ Union commemorated its Golden Jubilee celebration on 19 December 2025 at Nallong Village, Manipur, under the theme “Envisioning the Promising Future.” The historic occasion was graced by Shri Awangbou Newmai, Hon’ble MLA of 52–Tamei Assembly Constituency, along with Shri Ningusalie Talie and Shri N. Kenbonbo, JE, PWD (R&B), Jalukie (North) as the Chief Guests. A significant highlight of the celebration was the unveiling of a monolith, conducted by Rev. N. K. Joseph Zeliang, Men’s Secretary, LBA (North), marking five decades of the Union’s contribution to education and student welfare. The Guests of Honour included Shri Kancham, General Secretary, NDPP Peren Region and Board of Directors, MARCOFED Ltd., Nagaland, and Shri Liangkebo, Chairman, New Jalukie Village. A literary session was conducted featuring competitions such as Bible recitation, extempore speech, and debate, which witnessed active participation from students. Speakers on the occasion highlighted the importance of education, unity, and leadership among students, while encouraging the younger generation to uphold the values and vision of the Union as it looks toward a promising future.
