The Songbook: Scarypoolparty

In this episode of Gibson TV’s The Songbook, Scarypoolparty plays intimate, solo acoustic versions of his songs “Falling Down,” “Out Loud,” and “The Darkness,” and tells viewers the stories behind the writing of the songs and what inspired them. Scarypoolparty describes how his unique playing style and right-hand technique developed from experimentation and talks about how he gravitated towards open tunings. He also speaks about the importance of being truthful and honest with your emotions. He also reveals to viewers that singing was never his main focus and that busking out on the streets forced him to sing. It was while busking that his musical style was further refined and developed. Scarypoolparty is an American singer, musician, and television personality. Born Alejandro Aranda in Pomona, California, he was the runner-up on the seventeenth season of ABC TV's American Idol. His debut album, Exit Form, was released on Hollywood Records on November 22, 2019. His eight-song follow-up, Doom Hologram, was released on September 4, 2020, and the EP Los Angeles on March 26, 2021. His latest single release, The Darkness, is available now.
