I had fished at that spot before, always using live bait, and I knew the place had potential… but this surpassed all expectations. I prepared everything early. Good tide, reinforced equipment, and the hope of catching something good. I used a live fish as bait, cast it into the spot, and watched. The water was a little murky, the sky somewhat cloudy, but I felt that something different was going to happen that day. And it did. The strike was sharp, brutal. That pull that instantly makes your hand tremble and your heart race. I knew it was a big fish, but I had no idea of ​​the size of the big one I had hooked. The first run was absurd—the reel's brake screaming, the rod almost touching the water, and I was just thinking, "Man, what is this?!" It was several minutes of intense struggle. People stopped in the street to watch, some even filming with their cell phones. And there I was, trying to stay calm, holding on tight, controlling the line so it wouldn't escape or break the leader. This giant fish didn't want to come easily. When it finally surfaced and I saw that thick, silver body, glistening in the water… I couldn't believe it. A monster giant fish, probably the biggest I've ever caught. And the most surreal thing: inside the city. In the middle of the concrete, surrounded by asphalt and honking horns, nature asserted itself forcefully.
