Hey y'all welcome back, and Happy New Year! Today's video will feature a timelapse build of the most popular result from the channel poll: a city inspired by Constantinople! In part 1, we will work on constructing renditions of the legendary Hippodrome, the majestic Hagia Sophia, and the elaborate Imperial Palace. This massive structure was designed to accommodate nearly the entire citizenry in its stands, drawing them together for thrilling chariot races and awe-inspiring events. The Hippodrome becomes a symbol of unity and communal celebration, where citizens from all walks of life gather to revel in the exhilaration of the races. Centered in the arena are the city's trophies of war, stolen and shipped overseas from the Sunlands to stand and remind the people of their triumphs, cementing the Hippodrome as a symbol of unity and pride. Adorning the city as its crown jewel, the Great Church stands as an architectural masterpiece, boasting the largest dome in the known world. Scenes of divine beauty and historical significance are depicted in intricate mosaics that cover the ceiling and floors. Due to its alignment with the sun as it rises and falls, the main chambers of the structure flood with rays of sunlight during times of worship, allowing the Great Church to become a sanctity of spirituality.
