6.2/6.5 turbo diesel. Fuel system problems and fixes.
The lift pump in the Zombie Suburban died, but was the lift pump just old or did something else contribute to its failure? We found lots of problems (rust) in the diesel fuel tank, and the strainer for the fuel pickup was clogged up! I replaced the tank, screen and even the factory water separator filter to get the diesel 6.2 (actually a hummer 6.5 diesel) running again.
