Our walk starts in Leicester Square, one of London's most famous entertainment destinations. Known as the home of major film premieres and red-carpet events, this lively square attracts visitors from around the world every day. We explore the gardens, surrounding streets and the vibrant atmosphere of one of London's busiest tourist areas. From Leicester Square, we walk towards Trafalgar Square, one of London's most iconic landmarks. This historic square is famous for Nelson's Column, the impressive fountains, the famous lion statues and the beautiful architecture surrounding the area. Trafalgar Square is a meeting place for celebrations, cultural events and public gatherings throughout the year, making it one of the most recognisable locations in London. During this walk, I filmed Trafalgar Square on Sunday 12 July 2026, when the square was hosting Chess Fest — a unique and exciting event bringing giant chess, live games, performances and activities to the heart of London. The event created a fantastic atmosphere, with visitors gathering to watch and take part in this unusual celebration of chess in one of the city's most famous locations. The walk then continues into Covent Garden, one of London's most charming and popular districts. Originally a historic fruit and vegetable market, Covent Garden has transformed into a world-famous destination for shopping, dining and entertainment. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Apple Market, luxury boutiques, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and the incredible street performers who entertain crowds throughout the day. Covent Garden is also surrounded by some of London's most famous theatres, making it a perfect place to experience the culture and entertainment of the West End. The combination of historic buildings, lively streets and modern attractions creates a unique London atmosphere that visitors remember long after their trip.
