5-30-26 NEMRR R2 D1 Race #5 AM F40 UN

Us "natives" up here in New Hampsha' should be used to the weather by now..... but even this was just a bit on the extreme side. We had cold rain at 39° and some wet snowflakes were spotted early Saturday morning. Practice was a wash, a cold wash.....but it did stop raining before the racing started. The track eventually dried up, except for turn 1. With temperatures being a bit chilly and the track not completely dry I opted for rain tire on the front and slick on the rear. The race started great for me.....or so I thought. Had a total brain cramp and lined up on the wrong grid spot and took a 10 second penalty. The grid position was written on my tank and when I pulled up after the warm up lap I rolled to row 9, looked left and "counted" A, B, C..... .....that's me, 9C. The problem is it's right to left, not left to right. But I already knew that, like I said, total brain cramp. I got the holeshot and held it until my nemesis Paul #106 passed me up the inside of T3 on the last lap. Definitely a fun race holding him off for that long with a rain tire on the front. I was running 21s and 22s but it wasn't quite enough to stay in front, great race Paul. Thanks for watching and your support! As always feel free to comment and or criticize, I appreciate all of it.
