Clarence River Rafting trip - South Island, New Zealand

An absolutely fantastic trip travelling most of the raftable length of the beautiful and remote Clarence River on the South Island of New Zealand in January 2021. We spent 5 days on this journey, organised by Ben at Clarence River Rafting (http://www.clarenceriverrafting.co.nz/), a company who we'd highly recommend for the logistics. The Grade 2 river has plenty of enjoyable rapids throughout, three gorge sections and takes you from around 700m ASL in Molesworth Station down to the river mouth where you hear the waves crashing on the shore as you complete your 190km journey. There is much evidence of the Nov 2016, 7.8M Earthquake along the way, particularly in the lower sections where an uplift of around 9m was experienced across the area.
