Run 021 - Canning Town, London, England/ UK - 12th June 2026

East London is my second home, and I have loved exploring it with my running club. This route is something I happened upon while I was looking for a big Tesco to buy a couple of celebration cards to send to friends who had recently welcomed children. I discovered a pathway previously unknown to me, which followed the River Lead. I did both a dummy walk and a dummy run for this one, and captured the latter on video at an earlier point in the day. It was a little failure. Cody Dock, a charitable venture that allows access from the pathway back towards Manor Road and Canning Town station, which you will see at the mid-point of this video, was closed because it was just after dawn, so there was a turn back which I hate to do, and my camera cut out before I reached Royal Docks, which I always intended to end this recording at, with a view towards the Millennium Dome (yes I am still going to call it that and no-one can stop me!) and Canary Wharf. Anyway, from that experimental jog came this success, which took in everything I wanted to show you, and on a more glorious day.
