Fish and Film - Fish It Anyway

Fishing is a story . . . It was early summer, in a high water year, where rain for two days pushed the already-full creeks over the banks. But I had time to fish, so I needed a spot and an approach. I chose the upper end of a favorite river, a place that is fishable on all but a couple days every year. For me, summer season is about fishing dry flies -- terrestrial patterns. But with the big currents, the better option was streamers and nymphs, while occasionally mixing in dry dropper. It took about an hour to find a water type and a tactic that trout agreed with.
