This work is a telecine transfer of "Kyoto News," commissioned by the Kyoto City Historical Archives and produced by Uozumi Production, and edited by theme. "Kyoto News" was a municipal newsreel produced by the Kyoto City Public Relations Division from 1956 to 1994, and was shown before films in movie theaters throughout Kyoto. Our foundation was established in December 1969 (certified as a public interest incorporated foundation on April 1, 2011) with the mission of protecting, utilizing, and passing on Kyoto's cultural heritage to future generations. With the changing socio-economic situation, it has become difficult to continue protecting cultural heritage, and many things do not receive subsidies from the government. Although these are protected by the efforts of owners and managers, many are currently being lost due to a lack of means to protect them. The foundation, using donations from many people as its source of funding, works in cooperation with the government to protect and utilize cultural heritage, and conducts public awareness campaigns about cultural heritage.
