This video is loosely based on a recent incident where a Boy in Lumding, Assam claimed that he had won a competition organised by NASA and that he has been invited to NASA to attend a conference. According to him he was going to NASA to demonstrate his invention which can detect earthquakes. The regional media in Assam went into a frenzy reporting this news. But, apparently the certificates he produced to the media were not legit certificates. They were doctored using samples available on NASA’s Outreach website which are given to school kids for educational purposes and are available for everyone to download. The claims of Tanmoy Chakraborty have not been pronounced as false by the popular regional media yet but the boy did manage to enjoy his share of media attention.
