Exploring Chester: A Place of Discovery.

After a beautiful night by the sea, I headed inland to a parkup in Chester that I had found on Park for Night, only to discover that the place had been taken over by a fairground. With limited parking options in Chester, I decided to drive outside of the city and use one of the Park & Ride carparks. A great choice as the parking is free and a return ticket for the bus ride was only £2.50. My visit to Chester was suggested by one of my subscibers, I was interested to see what I would discover. Having done no research and only knowing that the city was quite old, I was hoping to be suprised. The first think I noticed was all the black and white buildings and for some reason thought of Shakespear. But I then discovered Roman ruins and a city wall similar to York. The icing on the cake was the really impressive Cathedral situated in the city centre opposite the equally impressive town hall. #vanlife #traveluk #history
