Dead Car In The Background - 1964 Chrysler Newport Ignition Fix, Brakes, And More (2.5 Years Later)
I know why I operate the way I do. I know why I bounce from project to project, leaving a mess of unfinished operations lingering in the wings. I have the attention span of a gnat, and I'm constantly searching for the happy chemicals. Typically, I try to get back to the various projects on the property for another round of fixing in a matter of weeks or months. For some reason, it's been two and a half years since this 1964 Chrysler Newport was dropped onto a trailer and dragged back to my place for a revival. At that time, we got the car fired up easily on a gas can, and only encountered major resistance in the braking department. As with many things, I got bored, and I never reached any logical conclusion for the first video I was producing on the car, which eventually vanished into the ether. Today, with some much needed help from Allan, it's finally time to get the 361 big block under the hood fired off, immediately discover that the brakes are seized solid again, and make some progress on this poor neglected Newport. Let's dig in.
