4WD AIRBAGS ? WATCH BEFORE YOU INSTALL ! Don’t get your system wrong !

SHOULD YOU FIT AIRBAGS TO YOUR 4WD? Load assist airbags are they a good idea? It’s has a remote control ! Load assist airbag kits have been around for a long time, more and more people are fitting them to vehicles carrying a heavy load. My experience with these loads assist kits goes back a fairly long time to my days in the mining industry, watching contractor vehicles driving in terrible conditions everyday with such kits installed. I seen over time the best way to use these kits is with a decent load carrying leaf spring and they are brilliant when installed correctly, factor in also suspension compression and droop to insure the bag won’t tear or pinch on any range of motion with the suspension. Some people think these can carry all the weight of the vehicles capacity, Remember these are load assist kits NOT complete load carrying. Sure the airbag can handle it but the parts of the vehicle the airbag is distributing the heavy loads is not designed to. So i always have the mechanical engineered suspension components the manufacturer designed to carry 75% of the load I have. I then would apply a air assist bag to carry around 25% of the extra load. This way I can still have a better ride day to day driving with out running a heavy 500kg or more constant leaf pack for example.
