*IQON ACT10 Skate Review – One Month In* New skate day turned into a proper deep dive. I’ve been skating the *IQON ACT10s* for a full month now and wanted to give them a fair run before locking in an opinion. These aren’t fresh out of the box hype. This is after indoor sessions, outdoor abuse, setup tweaks, and figuring out what actually works. First impressions were solid. Straight up, they feel premium. The boot, the plastic, the finish, all feels well thought out. Stock setup comes with 60mm wheels and Wicked bearings, which are fast as hell indoors, almost too fast. Outdoor bitumen absolutely destroyed them, so if you’re skating outside a lot, budget for new wheels early. Fit is the big talking point with these skates, and honestly, forget downsizing myths. Measure your foot in centimetres and trust the chart. That’s what I did and the fit is bang on. Snug without crushing toes, and after break-in it feels even better. The liner is heat mouldable and decent quality. Not the best liner I’ve ever skated, but definitely good enough and comfortable once dialled. The soul plate is a standout. Wide, fast plastic, and tapered properly so it doesn’t feel like a chopping board when you turn. Negatives are easy, new tricks unlocked, no complaints there. Sliding speed is quick even without wax, which surprised me. Out of the box, forward flex was pretty limited. That changed once I adjusted the cuff using the revolver system. Rotating the spacer made a massive difference and brought the skate to life. I didn’t even need to cut the cuff tabs, just a simple adjustment and suddenly the skate feels responsive without being sloppy. Frames slide fast, royales need you to get a bit lower, but once you’re used to them they’re consistent. The option to run a 1mm rocker is a huge bonus. Makes turning easier and adds a bit of flow if you like throwing in small wizard-style movements. Weight-wise, these are light. Way lighter than Blank-style skates, which makes jumps and technical stuff feel easier. Responsiveness is one of the best parts of this skate. Once flex is set right, they react instantly. After a month, I’m a fan. They’re not for everyone, but if you like a supportive boot, wide soul, adjustability, and a skate that feels premium without being heavy, the ACT10s are worth a serious look.
