Evergrace OST - EG Expression V - Omen (In-Game Version)
Evergrace (2000) Composer: Kota Hoshino Producer: Masanori Takeuchi Developer: FromSoftware Requested by drennme 2019, thank you so much for being so patient! This may be the ending track of the game, but it certainly isn't the end of my uploading - please feel free to request songs! This is a direct rip from the ending FMV of Evergrace, which means there will be sound effects at the beginning and end of the track. It does include some FMV-only drums in the intro too so, it's nice to have all the versions. Anyhow, if you'd like a clean, SFX-less version, I would suggest listening to the soundtrack version right here! • EG Expression V Omen Evergrace OST Alternatively, you can listen to the version that came with the Evergrace Special Music Disc, they should be the same but the nice thing about this one is that you can admire the nice CD. https://archive.org/details/image_202... [SPOILERS FOR EVERGRACE GAME AND NOVEL YEAH BOTH] So, the ending of Evergrace, huh? You know how it goes. The sounds of Sharline's sobbing, as the bloodied Sienna weakly whispers about her regrets not saving Trandin, about how sorry she is for bringing them all into this mess. Darius seems to forgive her, giving thanks to Sienna for aiding him in order to save Sharline. And then, with the last of Sienna's strength, she hopes that because the two are not alone, they can turn the Crest into a symbol of hope one day. And then, amidst a crimson sky, we see Darius and Sharline standing before two graves, Darius gives them a hula hoop and walks away with Sharline being like "WTF WHERE ARE YOU GOING I'M FOLLOWING AFTER YOU!!!!" An ending so open ended that most no one understood what it all meant. To some sharp-eyed viewers, it could at least be deciphered that the sunset sky implied they were back in their own world, as the sky in Rieubane was perpetually midday green. But why would Darius just walk off like that, leaving Sharline to just tag along behind? Aren't they like, childhood friends? Speaking of, where's the rest of Darius's friends, from Forever Kingdom? What happened to Rieubane? What? What?? WHAT????? Well, take all those questions and throw them to the wind, because Evergrace's novelization answers that and more. Do you remember how the story started, with Darius pursuing some soldiers into the Billiana Forest, and then suddenly disappearing? The novel starts off a bit differently, with Darius (accompanied by Felk and Ruyan, now his comrades in war) instead setting fire to the forest in a fit of rage, intending to die within the flames to atone for inadvertedly killing Sharline. Um, it's fucked up. Quarter page just of him repeating her name over and over. Then Evergrace happens, yep yep. And some really intense moments and a wild story goes on, quite a lot different and way more in depth than the game. ...And then, the ending of the novel. It's a lot, so I'm keeping it to the comment section. Check there for more! Otherwise, this track is, well, it's nice. I can hear hints of The Wind of Rieubane/Will, as well as the singing of children you hear in Piercing the Heavens. I'm not sure if it's different from the soundtrack version to be fair, but hey I wanna honour this request and I'm happy to have a vehicle to dump my feelings. It ends subtly, a lingering note that feels more like a pause than an ending. And perhaps that fits the fate of our two protagonists, hm...? I thought that it was a bit similar to Lost Kingdoms 2's ending track in that way, subtle and a strange ending. Also, check out my in-game version of Piercing the Heavens here! I've attached some important information bout the Evergrace OST as a whole in the description of that video (also check out the comment threads): • Evergrace OST - Piercing the Heavens (In-G... Thumbnail compiled from a few sources, such as the logo taken from an official wallpaper, and the illustration of Darius (well, his back) and Sharline from the inside cover of the Evergrace novelization by Kaeko Shimomura. The full scan I did can be found here until I get my ass to post it on the wiki. / 1380705573037989893 *** Should we finish off with another novel quote? Hm.... “It’s true. …Sharline, you should be able to recognize who I am. It’s me, Ruyan, from Seclue. “……Ruyan? The one who couldn’t get down from the rooftop so he started crying like a little baby, that Ruyan?” Felk burst into laughter. Ruyan nodded as those painfully embarrassing memories rose to the surface.
