Hello and welcome. I'm Alex and today I come to you with a new project. After winning the wonderful Lullaby Lane collection prize from Mintay, I'm back with an album for a baby. This time for my Marysia. When she saw the last album also from the Mintay collection Little one collection, she decided that she wanted the same one. Of course, the new collection gives new possibilities. I'm keeping the previous form, but it looks like it will be a completely different album. Collection charmed me with its pastel colors with a break in red. On the one hand, we have rich graphics, on the other background, thanks to which the album can be created in many ways. To make the album, I used whole collection.. I only made the base cover myself. I invite everyone to a new series, which I will present in the coming weeks. I will present the creation of the album on an ongoing basis. I made the cover from bookbinding canvas. First, I mounted the pages using the HIDE HINGE method plus a tab, because of my creasing machine I do it in inches, but I will try to convey it in cm. The mounting is also made of bookbinding canvas. I start at 1.5 inches, which is about 3.7 cm. Then the sequence begins, which will be repeated for each page. The sequence for one page is: 2 cm - gap, 1 cm hinge plus, 1.3 cm hinge, 1.3 cm hinge, 1 cm hinge plus, 1.5 cm gap. We use this sequence to make 5 pages We carefully fold the tabs and smooth them with a bone. I cut them to the height of the album pages. I chose cardboard for the cover. The dimensions of the front and back of the album are 23.2 cm wide and 22.5 cm high. Next, I prepared the epoxy resin impressions. I used molds from Stamperia, because unfortunately Mintay does not make molds yet. I painted the whole thing dark turquoise and painted it white with a dry brush, emphasizing the shapes of the inscriptions. On the spine I made the inscription Maria, my daughter's name. In the upper part I made a hole through which I tied a string for a bow. After pulling the string through, I glued the shaker to the spine. Next, I prepared a frame for the cover from light cardboard, which I glued with bookbinding material such as fluff. On the front under the frame I chose a grid from the collection, it will nicely match the bow on the spine. Then I glued the elements to the front of the album and handmade cotton flowers. On the other hand, I decorated the back with stars made of bookbinding paper, such as fluff. I cut the stars out with a die. If you like my work, you are more than welcome to subscribe to my channel.
