Le jour de la marmotte, c'est quoi?
Every year on February 2nd, a curious tradition takes place. In some cities in North America and Europe, they wake up… a groundhog! The belief is that if it sees its shadow, winter will be long. Conversely, if it doesn't see it, spring will arrive soon! But can we really trust a groundhog to predict the weather? Where does this tradition come from? Our friend Alain Jean-Mary, teacher and weather presenter at Radio-Canada, explains!
