Aux origines de l'ART MODERNE : la famille Stein ⎮ Documentaire arts et culture ⎮ AT

Gertrude, Léo, and Michael Stein. Who were these Americans living in Paris who were among the first to buy works by Matisse, Picasso, and Juan Gris? From the beginning of the 20th century, they contributed to the renown of these artists on both sides of the Atlantic, marking a landmark turning point in the history of Western art. On the occasion of the major exhibition of the Stein collection, which took place at the MoMA in San Francisco (2011), the Grand Palais in Paris (2011), and then at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (February 2012), the film tells the saga of this extraordinary family. A look inside a family that witnessed the birth and nurtured Western modern art, between France and the United States. 🎨 Documentaries on Art and Culture are here 👉 https://bit.ly/3raWklE Subscribe! 🎭 The Stein Family - The Modern Art Factory A film by Elizabeth Lennard © ARTE
