Dynamic Warm Up Drills for Triple & Long Jumpers
A jumper's warm up serves multiple purposes: 1. Physically "warm" the body to prepare the muscles, joints, and tendons for the load of the workout/competition. 2. Prepare the central nervous system to perform the activities asked of it (i.e. jumping and sprinting) So if your warm ups only consist just jogging a few laps and doing a few skips, then you can't expect to be ready to perform come showtime. This video includes a selection of mobility and movement preparation drills you can add to your current warm up, or even use as a shake out. Instrumental: Chuki Beats / chukimusic
