What should you check first if your outboard won’t start? In this video from Boats.net, we’re walking through diagnosing a no-start condition on our Yamaha T60 outboard. Now, we’re going to start with the fuse and the voltage, and then we’ll walk you through some of the other checks you need to make. And just to make sure, be sure your lanyard/emergency cutoff is working and connected. If it’s not? The outboard will never start. In this case though, we’ve narrowed down the problem to our wiring harness. John will walk you through the process of getting the new harness installed, and then when we’re done we’ll crank it up and see what we’ve got.
