We look back on June 30 and July 1 with joy and gratitude. Overwhelmed by the turnout and involvement of our community, it has become clear that there is a strong need for Eindhoven to reflect on these important days in history. It's safe to say that Eindhoven has embraced the commemoration of the past and celebrated our shared future. People of all backgrounds and ages gathered on June 30 and July 1 to show solidarity and respect for those who have suffered under the yoke of slavery. Together we heard the stories, felt the pain, and celebrated the strength. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this commemoration and celebration.
