The record was originally self-titled until the name caught on. The highly experimental song was written and recorded solely by Paul McCartney, who used multiple tracks on top of each other to record. The song can be played in standard tuning, but there is a slight drop in the tuning, which can be easily corrected if using the computer. Note that playing the song is standard tune along with the record will sound slightly off. The song uses a handful of chords, which set towards the low-end of the guitar neck. These are not typical chords, so watch the video to learn all the chords. Follow along and learn the chord progression of the song. "Wild Honey Pie" does not use much of a form, as it is only a one-minute song, except that it uses a five-chord progression and two words for the lyrics.
