Chris from Rekkid Talk has another rekkid featuring music from the Tuareg people in the African nation of Niger. This time, it's the female-led band Les Filles de Illighadad (the daughters of Illighadad), who feature the Sahel desert blues sound, but also featuring tende. Tende is a type of music traditionally performed by Tuareg women that features a drum made from a mortar & pestle, along with chanting & singing of poetry. This is a live album recorded in 2019 and released recently.
