Meanwhile, in 1944, a massive operation to resettle Poles from the Eastern Borderlands began. It was carried out in haste and chaos. From one day to the next, our compatriots had to leave their homes and move hundreds of kilometers west. Train travel was exceptionally difficult. The trains were overcrowded, dirty, and constantly delayed. Nevertheless, people, still living in fear of further attacks by Ukrainian nationalists, decided to leave even under such difficult conditions. I discuss this topic in more detail in my latest video.
