Early Season Tassie Trout | TFA 74

Join me (Rory) on my first couple of fly fishing trips of trout season 2024/25. I have had a slow start to the season due to the weather and working. This episode is filmed over two days; one in August and one in September. Whilst the fishing can be tough, both days involved sight casting to cruising brown trout in shallow water. The fishing can be frustrating at this time of the year, due to the cold weather and spawning behaviours. However, a few fly changes and a change of tippet saw success on both outings with several fish coming to the net in this episode. We're now coming into the best time of the year for trout fishing (in my opinion) in the next few months (October, November, December). But until then, I hope you enjoy this episode.
