Do you tend to lean inward in turns and lose stability on your skis? This is one of the most common mistakes that disrupts your balance, takes away your control, and causes your entire body to "run away" instead of working on the skis. 🎿 Come with us for a ski test: https://www.ntn.pl/testy In this episode of the HARD RIDE series, Kasia Ostrowska demonstrates a simple yet highly effective exercise that: • stabilizes the upper body, • improves balance in turns, • helps maintain proper positioning without leaning inward, • teaches you how to consciously work your shoulders and hips over the skis. 🎿 Download a PDF version of the test of over 100 pairs of the latest skis and choose the best one for you: https://www.ntn.pl/pdf This exercise: • teaches you to stand stably on the outside ski, • eliminates leaning inward in turns, • improves control, confidence, and acceleration between turns, • allows you to check your technique for yourself – even without a video recording. The exercise is performed with a pole (or poles) placed on your shoulders, which: • limits unnecessary torso rotation, • "calms" your upper body, • allows you to focus on proper posture over the skis. The key element is consciously guiding your outside shoulder and elbow toward your outside foot, while avoiding: • rotating your torso, • pulling with your inside elbow, • standing on the inside ski. This exercise clearly demonstrates whether your balance and body positioning are correct – mistakes are immediately obvious. What does this exercise do? ✔️ eliminates "leaning in" in the turn ✔️ improves stability and ski control ✔️ teaches proper shoulder movement over the lower body ✔️ helps maintain balance without excessive movement ✔️ perfectly complements the "plane" exercise Who is it for? For beginner, intermediate, and more advanced skiers who want to: • improve their posture in turns, • ski more stably and confidently, • eliminate bad upper body habits. 📌 HARD DRIVING Series This isn't a complete course.
