Some new arrivals prove to be more trouble than help on the Fat Controller's Railway, in this, the first volume of my two-book series finale. The Fat Controller and the Vicarstown Rail Museum Manager have heard about Denise's near miss on the Flying Kipper, and launch an investigation into the matter. Meanwhile, the rivalry between Denise and 7102 reaches its climax, as neither engine wants to be sent back to her old railway; and 7102 traps her behind some loaded fuel tankers and pushes her towards a shed wall, behind which lies a street! This could be Denise's last chance to prove herself to be a Really Useful Engine... but will she be able to stop the oncoming destruction?
