The 2022 Oscars are tonight! I won't be talking about any of the nominated movies, which seems like the more relevant idea. I am going to talk about other movies. Specifically, movies I think didn't get enough industry recognition for costume design. I hope the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will consider my submission for a new award category: Excellence in Underrated Costume Design Funnily enough, the designer of the costumes for the last film on our list, Jacqueline West, is nominated for an Academy Award this evening for her costume design for DUNE (2021).
